    The Bolder Side of The Botanist

    Strengthening and amplifying The Botanist’s story through their first step into innovation – a high strength exclusive to win in Global Travel Retail. Perfectly balanced and progressively distilled, The Botanist’s success to date was from a single expression of its premium Islay Dry Gin. For their new innovation at the higher strength of 51.5% ABV, we needed to set the brand apart from other navy strength competitors and drive engagement in GTR, without cannibalising core.

    Our approach was to invite conscious gin lovers to explore a deeper expression of the distinct 22 island botanicals signature blend, and be elevated to a moment where nature & craft collide. Using a rich and vibrant blue, we created a counterpoint to The Botanist’s core offering builds the story of the bolder botanicals using clear category cues. Clever use of the brand’s strongest visual asset – the Latin bottle emboss – simultaneously brings flavour clarity and visual texture.

    The concept extended through a suite of photography, which reflects the deep liquid character through art direction, along with educational point of sale, environmental application and a comprehensive toolkit of guidance and assets for consistent activation in global travel retail.
