An exceptional spirit made with 22 locally foraged and sustainably grown botanicals, The Botanist has built its success to date from a single expression of its premium Islay Dry Gin. But thanks to its unique provenance, unparalleled product and authentic purpose, we were tasked to strengthen and amplify The Botanist’s story through their first step into innovation - a high strength exclusive to win in Global Travel Retail.

Airports are transient places and with many travelers and gin connoisseurs alike looking for new and more principled experiences. Perfectly balanced and progressively distilled, this edition sees the signature blend open up at the higher strength of 51.5% ABV. Needing to create a powerful positioning to represent a deeper expression of its Islay essence, we set out to show this is The Botanist, only bolder.

Drawing on the unique Islay landscape, Hebridean Strength was born. We sought to reflect the rich flavour and bolder taste through our navy blue design expression to help drinkers discover the wild elements of Islay. 

Activating through communications and display to optimise the brand experience in airports across global markets, the result is bolder, richer, deeper, yet inimitably The Botanist.
