Taking Tea Sodas to the Masses
Denver-based Teatulia were bringing their first ready-to-drink tea to market. Having made their name by regenerating 3,000 acres of land in Tetulia, Bangladesh before producing their organic leaf tea, they were now introducing their much loved Tea Sodas to a wider audience.
I found Thirst through an internet search of award-winning beer cans when we started to design our Tea Sodas. I was determined to find a best-in-class design agency who would deliver a product that would distinguish us and reflect the finest quality product we were going to be putting inside.
Thirst hit it out of the park (US baseball reference). 1) They delivered four beautiful concepts that were completely unique, giving us four excellent options. 2) When we changed course mid-stream they shifted gears no problem. 3) The final design is…breathtaking. Validated by customer and consumer response. 4) They are a delight to work with. They get it quick and are unbelievably pleasant to work with.
Waking up the World of Tea
Tea has a bad rep in America. Hot tea is what your granny drinks and iced tea isn’t really seen as ‘tea’. It was up to Teatulia’s category defining Tea Soda to wake up the sleepy world of tea, and what better way than to return to its roots and the vibrant, exciting, beautiful festival of colour, Holi?
Bursting with Flavour
These tea sodas are full of vibrant flavour combinations such as peppermint tea with hibiscus, pomegranate lemonade and mint. In a category dominated by tea leaves, ingredient illustrations and natural palettes, we created something totally different. Inspired by Holi, we threw then photographed vibrant powders to create bright, bold colourful eruptions. These bursts perfectly express flavour in an exciting and celebratory way. Pairing our colour bursts with bold block text, the brand achieves powerful shelf stand out across the range.
