As part of our ongoing research and development, we have decided to create various projects to explore new techniques, enhance our understanding of packaging executions and increase our knowledge of different aspects of the drinks industry.
The first project in our Studio Series is Moses Lake Cellars, a West Coast American luxury wine brand.
We wanted to showcase a brand that works as a collective on a dinner table, visually tying together an eclectic range of wines.
Inspired by the contemporary nature of West Coast American wine packaging, we wanted to explore typographic lettering techniques that were bold and youthful, yet still carry the luxurious qualities associated with wine.
The lettering has been produced by various brush techniques. The brush strokes provide beautiful detail and offer the simple, bold characters a level of intricacy that gives the lettering depth and interest.
The paper stock is Manter Tintoretto Black Pepper Ultra WS 115 – a luxury label stock from Spain. They have been double folded – white onto gold. Produced by our friends at IST Printing.
